Does anyone know of a easy way to check for password/username info before
granting access to a specific page on a web? Something you'd have to sign
on to get access to?

Thanks.

Steve

There are different methods for different server OS types,
but basically you place the content in a password protected folder.

This is going to be running on a W2K server. So, since I haven't done the
whole password deal, what would the process be, create a username and
password on the server?

Steve,
There is a MSFT knowledge base article
about password protecting on Windows server.
Unfortunately I don't have a link
to it, because I never paid attention to it as I run my sites
on Apache/Unix servers.
Your question is asked often, so if you download next headers
and then search the newsgroup I'm sure you'll find it.

Sorry I can't give you a specific link.

Has anyone had any problems with this? When I try to connect to the
'secure' page, it fails, and I get a HTTP 500 - Internal server error.

Any ideas what would be causing this?
