Ok, I have a site, but I want my homepage to have this box (username:
password: ) where you input your data. Then you go to this page where you
can add text. When you've put your text, click submit and it appears on the
homepage. Someone else has done this. Can anyone help? I've searched the net
but all I can find is download this and that, etc.

Thanks for your time!

Can you give some examples of what you want?

From what you describe, the following allows you to do all that but you
haven't been terribly specific so I've listed at least 4 applications where
you log on, filll in a form and get the "results" on a web page.

1) A guesbook (Frontpage has one) - (A user can leave comments about your
site through a web form)
(Try http://www.hotscripts.com for guestbook scripts).

2) Discussion Board (Frontpage also has one of these) - similar idea to this
newsgroup - people post topics, others reply and discuss.
(Try www.yabb-forum.com or www.phpbb.com or many others - www.google.com )

3) Blog - generally a web site owner submits logs, commentary about current
events, or whatever they like - kind of like a diary/log. "Blog" = shortened
name for "Web Log".

(Try www.blogger.com)

4) Content Management System - used to manage the content of a web site,
without needing to know HTML - generally in a WYWIWYG format like Frontpage,
except its done online - on the website itself. You submit the page you're
editing, and the changes are reflected when you browse to the page you just
edited.
(Try www.contentseed.com )

I couldn't be sure from the rather vague description you have given.

Try this site : http://www.hotscripts.com - search for "Content Management"
and/or "Logon" and/or "guestbooks" & "discussion forums"
Also www.google.com

example.... Well. I'm at work at this very moment, but I have a picture of
what I want at home, so I'll post it on here later.

But from what you have given me, that guestbook idea is what I want so it
appears on the homepage, BUT I only want certian members entering the
guestbook by entering a passowrd or something.

If you use the FP Guest Book component:

You would have to create the guest book in a FP subweb / subsite and then assign unique permissions
to the subweb / subsite. Only the people that have a login would be able to see or post messages to
the questbook.

Also your web host must allow you to create subwebs / subsites and then set unique permissions.
