password when logging on

When I log on there is an old password saved which I have
to change each time.Is there any way to delete the old
password and input the current password? thank you foir
any help you can give

Select the old password, then hit delete on your keyboard, input the new
password and logon as always. You may see a prompt that tells you this is a
different password than the one saved in the password database connected to
this account, do you wish to change the password. Answer yes or ok.
