password virus ???

Using Moz 1.7.8 and SBC Yahoo with Win XP and my password manager keeps
eraseing my mail password for Moz. I can reenter, check to see if it is
there,
and when the next mail comes, it is gone. Has anyone heard of a virus
that causes this or do I have other areas to check?

I think it sounds more of a registry problem and not a virus. Same
thing happened with me when I installed Thunderbird 0.8. Has been fixed
in later versions of course.

Try the Mozilla support forums for this issue, you might have better
luck there.

I use to have this problem with Netscape 7.1 (Mozilla engine), but on
reinstallation cured the problem. definitely not a virus, but a registry
problem.
