how can i do that?

there is no box like that on this site. there was one time i accidently
said not to store the password so now it doesn't on my laptop computer. on
my desktop it does since i allowed it to. i need to somehow undo this on
the laptop for the one site.

thanks

Hi torin :-)

I'm not a website expert, so it's just a thought, but, as I understand,
websites use cookies, small combination of numbers and/or letters that is
stored on your hard drive. These numbers/letters are a way for your Web
browser to announce itself to our server. Your Profile also uses a cookie
if you uncheck "Prompt Me for Password", or other type of password prompt,
so that you do not have to enter your e-mail address and password every time
you visit that website.

Thus, if you could find the cookie in your Cookies file, or, just delete the
cookies from that folder, you may be prompted again the next time you log on
to the site. It might be worth a try.

Clear out temporary files and delete cookies.

arggg.
still not able to get it to save the password for this site. what's annoying
is the user id i have is long and hard to remember so i prefer to have it
saved. works on my desktop but thats only because i said ok to save
password the first time I logged on.

clearing cookie for the site and clearing all autocomplete forms and
passwords did not bring back that promt the next time.

any other ideas!??

thanks
torin

Hi torin :-)

Did you manually delete the cookie? Also, just so I'm clear on this, how did
you clear the forms and passwords in autocomplete? Unchecking their boxes,
or clicking on the tabs for each?

Also, where/how did you tell the prompt not to save your password? Was it a
dialog box from IE, or a check box on the webpage itself? There are some
webpages that offer to store your password, such as Hotmail and other secure
sites, that have a check box that says "Do/Don't remember my password in the
future/on this computer", etc.
