Password Reset Disk

Hi,

When I initially set up Vista I did not make a Password Reset Disk
because I chose a password that I would not forget.

But it occurs to me that if the password became corrupted by some
means then a reset disk may be vital.

Is my assumption correct.

If so, can a floppy disk be used to make the disk?

PS OS is Windows Home Premium 32bit
 
Hi Species,

Yes, it would be a good idea to create a password recovery disk to have
handy for just that type of situation.

You can use either a USB flash drive or the old 3 1/2" floppy disk.

Once I have made the disk, is it possible to test it to make sure that
it works?

I have read that if I change my Vista password then the password reset
disk does not have to be remade.

Is this correct, after all the password has been changed?
