I have just created a new database with user accounts and passwords. I
created them by going to security- user and group accounts. Now if I try to
open another unsecured access database it is requiring me to enter the
password I created for the secure database to open it. Any way to make it so
I only have to enter the password for the database which it was created
under. I use Access 2000. Thanks for your help. Mark

Mark,

I think you have added a password to the Admin user on your default
workgroup file.

It is best to create a separate workgroup file to secure your systems with.
When opening other, unsecured databases simply re-join to your default
workgroup.

If you *did* create a new workgroup just change back to your default
workgroup file.

Thank you Ed, did what you said and no problems... just used the security
wizard instead of user/group setup..
thanks-
Mark
