I have a database that will not let be back in to work in it. I enter the
password, hold down the shift key, and hit enter. The db opens but just so I
can view it and navigate through it. What am I doing wrong? Also I tried to
take off the password but it wont let me in Tools after choosing elclusive on
the drop down box. Am I
doing something wrong

Mark

I have the password and can open the .mdb database. What I can't do is get
it to open up in form view, I believe its called, where I can make changes to
the database.

Perhaps you're not holding down the shiftkey long enough? You need to
enter the password, then hold down the shiftkey (and keep it down), then
click on OK (keep the shiftkey down until the db window appears). If it
doesn't appear, then someone has disabled the shiftkey bypass. Albert
has a utility you can use to reset it.

"By Pass Shift Key Code" at

the 2000 version will work for you.
