Im in the military and we use Windows NT. Im trying to
access my database, but I cant due to the fact that there
is a password onit. Nobody knows the password, and I dont
know of anyway to bypass it. I know I can reinstall the
program but I will lose all my information. I have over 7
hundred people on it and that is a lot of information to
put back on. Is there a way to remove the password when
the password is unknown?

What version of Access?
Is it just a password, or does it prompt for a username and a password?

How are you trying to open the database -
opening Access and then File, Open?
double clicking the mdb in Windows Explorer?
via a desktop shortcut?

Does it mattter which way the file is opened.
I am experiencing the same problem. No one remebers the
password on files.

There is a difference between a file prompting you for a password, vs one
that is prompting you for a username and a password.

As for how it was being opened, I was trying to ascertain whether you might
be joined to a secure mdw by default or not.

Also, if it is just a password prompt, you can search the internet and find
lots of sites offering password crackers.
