Can I password protect individual web pages in FrontPage 2003? My ISP's
server is not running FrontPage Server Extensions.

You should be able to create a folder and password protect it using your web
host cpanel. Check with your hosting company.

If his host has CPanel & if they allow creation of subwebs/sites and unique
permissions.

....and CPanel is assuming Linux/Apache - I believe.

Thanks for the clarification Rob, and could you answer the post just above
this one for me please :)

The one about selling your software?
I dunno. Personally, I would keep control of the sales myself and give
commissions for referrals that result in sales.

Thank You Kristie, I am not sure as to what you are refering to 'web host
cpanel'. But I will do as suggested and ask my ISP.
I was hoping for an easy solution, I am creating a photo gallery site and
would like to protect personal photo's from being viewed by just anybody,
while leaving general photos open to all.

Thanks to you and Rob. Check out what I have so far if you like....

Ask your host if they support subwebs....I'm gonna guess they don't...but
it's worth asking.

You may want to start renaming your images before you get a zillion on
there. Remove all spaces from folder & file names (a space will appear as
%20) you can use underscores instead of spaces...while your at it; stick to
all lowercase as well.

BTW... nice pix!

Thanks Rob I will do as suggested, may I ask the improtance of all lowercase
file names? Thanks for the good note on the pics...

linux/apache balks on uppercase and spaces in file/folder names.

And how does posting a host's name help the OP...I know it probably helps
YOU ... in your wallet that is.

OK, thanks again for all of your help Rob and Kristie. I spoke with my
provider and managed to setup the neccesary sub-directories needed for my
password protection.

Which ,as always, leads to another question...I posted it as a new question
labeled "Photogallery Folders"
