Password protecting networks

Can someone help me password protect a network resource
on windows xp home? I want to be able for certain people
to access it through a domain with a user name..but I
dont know how..Please someone help!
 
for what I know this is not possible from Windows XP
Home, I think because of the "HOME" thing, you can only
protect shared folders from XP Pro by giving permissions
to certain users... and this is not avaliable from HOME
