Thanks for reading.
I have a spreedsheet password protected with 8 characters. Is 8
characters good enought to stop someone from breaking the password.
The sheet contains passwords to accounts so I need it to be secure,
or should I buy a program say from Norton?

Thanks Much.
Bobby

Is the worksheet/workbook protected via tools|protection or is the workbook
protected via File|saveas?

If it's the tools|protection version, there's nothing you can do to really
protect it.

J.E. McGimpsey has code that will unprotect the workbook/worksheet in just
moments:
http://www.mcgimpsey.com/excel/removepwords.html

And if it's file|saveas protection, there are commercial password breakers:
http://www.lostpassword.com/

If you want your accounts to be secure, then don't share the workbook or don't
use excel.

Thanks
Guess I'll purchase something.....
