Is there a way to keep IE6 from loading without a password? I let my
grandson get on my computer to play games, but I don't want him to access
the Net without my permission.

Hi,
See: 267930 - How to Configure Internet Explorer 5.x to Block Access to All
But Approved Internet Sites:

Your password will allow you to disable Content Advisor for normal
unrestricted browsing.

Note: I'd bet that many teens or pre-teens know, or could quickly learn, how
to defeat Content Advisor. I'd only trust this method with a younger child.

Which OS? If it is NTx you could create a separate account for him
which didn't allow Internet access at all. Post in a newsgroup which
specializes in your OS if that option appeals instead. (I know that it is
possible in various ways but don't have any details at hand right now
and it would be more on topic in such newsgroups anyway.)

Good luck
