Password protect

For Starters..Win 98 is not very secure to begin with...

Maybe a combination of a Bootup password (by setting in the C-MOS settings)
and BLACK SCREEN.

Maybe this will work for you.. The bootup password is to prevent someone
from resetting the computer and getting in, and this app is for blacking and
requireing a password.

Of corse, the Password the blackscreen screen saver and a bootup password
combo is also an option.

The first return from Google after entering password protect bios
is this one:

There are quite a few desktop lock programs about also. This one is
very nice and simple and free. Make sure you read the readme.

I have this one in my start up folder on my Win98 machine.

OK, will the bios password keep the computer from starting unless they know
the password?

Yes, unless they open the machine and reset it :)
