Password protect a shared directory / file?

I have a shared folder with music in it that everyone on the network can use.... but in that directory I also have my "work" directory that contains all of my important work files. I'd like to make it so that the "work" directory is available to share on the network, but can only be accessed by me.

Any ideas?

Separate your "work" directory from the shared music folder so that
you can control access to them separately.

If you have XP Home Edition, you can create a hidden share for your
work folder and not tell other people about it. I've written a web

If you have XP Professional, you can disable Simple File Sharing and
define access control lists that specify user names and their allowed
mode of access for each shared folder. Ron Lowe and I have written a
