Is there a easy way to password protect a folder in windows XP? I need this
so if a co-worker logs onto my PC with my password they can not have access
to my files. I'm not looking for a third party software program.
Thanks

Work PC and you share your password ? - Not a good idea whatever
the reasoning. Better to create or have created an account for their own
use.

Unfortunately, most operating systems implement security based on user
credentials. If all users are using the same user credentials, then you'll
have to turn to some third party software.

The best solution is to create a separate user account for all the users on
that computer.

Make sure that
a) the folder is on an NTFS partition
b) other users do not have Admin rights; and that
c) they can't boot into an alternate O/S

Right-click on the folder, choose Properties > Sharing > Make this folde
r private
