password problem

Hot Pepper Dave

I am running W2000 on a P4 and have seperate domains set
up. I have a seperate Adminstrator domain as well as my
domain. I have also given myself full administrative
rights. Recently when changing my password (whenever the
prompt comes up I simply change it to the same password as
before)something happened and now when I start-up and am
prompted for my password nothing works. I have tried all
permutations of my password, all caps, no caps, different
letters caps, changing the position of my hands, nothing
seems to give me the correct password, again, it should be
the same password as I have always used. I have not
forgotten my password, it simply will not work. I have
found by accident that if I hit the key combination of
Ctrl/Enter that I am allowed access without my password
being needed. I would like to correct the problem however,
and I am afraid that when the two months is up and I am
again prompted for the password change that I may not be
able to access anyting anymore.

It sounds like you might have entered a blank password.
Just reset it from Active directory users and computers.
(right click your account and choose - change password)

Log on under your alternative admin account, then
reset the password of the primary admin account.
