We have enfroce strong password policy on our win2003 domain.

How will the policy affect remote users how are connecting thru VPN
(L2TP-Ipsec)?

Will they be force to change they password when it will be expired (90days)
How will it work?

Thanks for any help on this

Dan

It depends on how they are accessing the VPN and how it is configured. If it
is a rras/vp server that is in the domain then they will need to change
passwords when their's expires. If they are using the built in vpn client
connectoid and it is configured to include domain name for logon I believe
they will be able to change their password then. You can test it out by
configuring one vpn test user account to have to change their password at
next logon. Accounts configured with "password never expires" will not be
subject to password maximum age policy. You might also want to post on the
win2000.ras_routing newsgroup. --- Steve
