Password on Shared pc

I have 2 win2k pc's that I am trying to make them talk to
each other. I have NO passwords set and have set up the
shares on each of the drives, yet when I try to access the
other pc, it comes up asking for a username/password. How
can I disable this???

You need to have both user accounts setup on both PC's - even if they have
blank passwords.
 
Use the (exact) same username (and password if set) on each win2k pc and it should work ok, if you are using different usernames then this problem will occur.
 
They are the same... any other suggestions????

But then, at work they are not and we don't have that
problem.

Are they members of the same workgroup?
But then, at work they are not and we don't have that
problem.

At work you would be login into a domain. The username/password is validated
by a domain controller - not a client PC.
