Password not saving

xp pro/ MS Outlook 2002
every time I use outlook 2002 I have to enter my passwords. I go into
accounts and properties and server add my password and check the box that
says save password.
I exit OL and go back in and the password is gone again. I have to enter it.
Can someone tell me why this is happening?

Asked a LOT. A search through Microsoft's KB articles or Google will show
many have been answered.

- Go to http://support.microsoft.com/.
- Advanced search.
- Search on "remember password" (all words) for "Outlook 2002".

14 articles returned which isn't many to peruse. My guess is that the one
with "Connect to a POP3 server" is the one you need to read.
