I had set up password for the two users set up on my
computer. Someone that was not supposed to be using my
computer attempted to log in by making several guess's at
what my password is. Now, my password does not work and I
cannot log on at all. Does anyone know what I can do to
reset the user info so that I do not lose all of my data
on the computer? I have a Dell and they have only
provided a Reinstallation CD.

Check the manual for the computer and follow the
instructions regarding "Password."

try calling up Dell while your at it, you are priviledged to their technical
support service

One workaround is to simply place the hard-drive in another computer (With
an OS that supports the NTFS filer format). This should lay down the file
protections, and thus allow you to acces your files. Just remenber, that it
has to be their hard drive that gets booted from, not yours.
