To access XP Pro if you have lost the password:

At the login screen, press Ctrl | Alt | Del twice quickly.
Type "Administrator" and leave password blank.

computer on but the help and support in windows asks for a password
and the person that gave the computer to my friend never used it i
don't know how to crack the password to run troubleshooter to see what
might be wrong with the modem is there a program i can burn to a disk
that will crack the password or how do i set my friends account to
administrator

When it asks for password , just press enter . ( Can you also use
grammar and just not one long sentence ?)
