Hi,

My org wants a policy for the regular changing of all
privedged passwords (admin accounts, router passwords,
etc). The concern is that when an admin leaves the company
we want to be able to change all passwords immediately. We
were think of changing all passwords once a month and
storing the master list in a doc on a stand alone
workstation that is in a fairly secure area. Does anyone
have any better ideas for me? How are large enterprises
doing it?

Thanks

Hi Bob,

You could try CUSRMGR. Here is an article that talks about using this tool:

272530 How to Use the Cusrmgr.exe Tool to Change Administrator Account
Password

Thank You.

Well for your windows machines there shouldn't be generic admin accounts
that anyone knows the password too, for instance the built in admin account
shouldn't have a known password. It should be a long cryptic password that
is stored in an envelope. Admins should have their own individual passwords
and if they leave their account gets disabled or deleted.
