password bypass

Hello, is there some way I can disconect this feature I find it a pain and I
don't use password protect with my desktop. If I don't use the laptop for 2
month's it will lock me out. It did one time I forgot the password and was
told Mic4rosoft could not help....luckily I found the password later but if
it wouold have been 2 month's I would just have a paper weight

what version of windows are you using?
do you want NO password at all?
do you want a password, but not to be prompted when you break your
screensaver?
it this your computer or your company's?
are there policies in place?
