Hi there,
If I want a username in active directory domain A to access a shared
folder in a different network B that it has no trusts with can I just
create a username with same name, password as in domain A and pass
through authentication will work?
Or maybe even a local user on the server with same name/password as in
domain A.
I am getting an error that resource is not accessible so far. You
might not have permissions to use this network resource. Contact the
administrator of this server to find out if you have access
permissions
Thanks a lot, T

No, you must use explicit credentials if there is no trust and no
cross-domain security information between the domain.

Hi Richard,
I am using explicit credentials, domainB\User and password and still
get the error. I was wondering if I need trusts or some sort of Wins
setup, although user can reach the server but gets an access denied
when accessing the share.
Thanks a lot, T
