Hi everyone, Any help or comments would be appreciated on
this. thanks in advance.

I am about to reload my OS(win2000) on either of 2 drives.
One drive is a 4gb and the other is a 15gb. I have always
installed my system files on a sepearate partition then
the data, which includes programs, and actual data files.
My question is should i continue this method or does it
really matter?

My first thought was to install the OS on the 4gb drive
along with the pagefile, then use the 15gb for programs
and data.

Any thoughts. please send thanks.

Nothing wrong with the idea. We set individual partitions for the OS and
related driver files; a second partition for applications; and a third partition
for data files.

As Misty says, the basic idea is a v. good one. Adding to that, I'd
suggest that depending on how loaded your system is and how fast your
W2k partition may grow, 4GB may be on the low end of the size you'll
eventually need for that partition, especially with the pagefile on it.
Sys performance, also, can improve noticeably in a very busy system if
the pagefile is located elsewhere than the OS partition - less
contention for the read/write accesses. ("Noticeably" is an iffy concept.:-)
