after shrinking c: drive i was surprised to find it created another drive
rather than increasing my d: drive, nethertheless, my puzzling query is why
am i able to move files back and forth, yet on c: and D: files and folders
are in black, yet on newly created F; drive the lettering is in blue? any
ideas why?

More likely, the new partition is a logical partition in a new extended partition. Both
