Partition size a factor?

Hey all,

I'm still having my intermittent "missing config\system\" error.

My question is, does the OS partition's size on the CF card matter?

I'm using a Transcend Industrial 1G CF card partitioned into 750meg
and 250meg partitions.
I set that 750meg size in TD.
Is there a problem with XPe running on a small partition?

Any help would be appreciated.

I use 250MB and 400MB partitions for XPe without any problems.

Are you using EWF (or FBWF)?

Have you tried another card? It may just be that the card is faulty.

Ok, so its not the partition sizes.
I have 15 of these CF cards. The problem occurs intermittently on any
of them.

I've really hit a wall here. I'm not sure what it could be.
I have a 2G CF card I installed a full XP Pro on. Its okay. I know its
being sacrificed for a good cause. :)

I have never seen the issue come up there. That leaves me to conclude
its either EWF causing an issue or there's something more robust in
Pro that I don't have in my image.

Any thoughts?

Not really. Have you tried a different model of card as a test just in
case of some weird incompatibility or batch fault in the cards?
