Does anyone know of a freeware partition program that lets you resize
current partitions without affecting the data on the partition. Sort of
like Partition Magic. Thanks in advance for your help.

If you have a knoppixCD you can use qparted (otherwise this would
be a huge download only for one program ;-).

qtparted is available on smaller CDS than Knoppix. I like
<http://www.sysresccd.org/>, 110 MB. Maybe somebody knows of a smaller
liveCD with qtparted?

I've used Partition Resizer for some years now on several computers.
Limitation: Can only move, not resize NTFS.

It can be used in a round about way by shuffling the data around.

The OP has not specified his system. A good resizer is Partition
Resizer by Zeleps.

It can handle disks upto 2TB.

RTFM to know about the applicability to various flavors of OSes.
