Partition problems

I've been trying to partition a 70GB hard drive with xp home edition installed. I've gone to computer managment, storage and then disk management but there is no option to partion the c: drive. How do I partiton the drive in question?

If you used the whole 70Gbs for drive c: that is, one partition, the only way to repartition is by 3rd party utilities otherwise start again from scratch

You will need to use 3rd party partitioning tools if you want to keep your data and programs intact. I use Partition Expert from www.acronis.com.
