Is it safe to use PM Ver 8 with XP?

My new PC came with XP on one single NTFS partition of 120GB drive. I would
like to create separate partitions for Data files, etc.

1. Is PM 8 safe to use on XP?
2. What is the minimum partition size for just the XP system files?

Thanks.

1) I have safely used PM 8 to resize, create, delete, and move
partitions on an NTFS volume under XP. I do advise you to upgrade to PM
8.1, however
2) With a 120gig HD, a 10 gig system partition for XP is not out of the
question.

Hi,

1. Yes, at least as safe as any partitioning software can be. Keep in mind
that there are inherent dangers in *any* partition work. Always, always,
always backup anything critical before beginning any partition work.

2. I would leave at least 5GB for the system partition.
