Not sure if I'm hearing two beeps when my P4C800 Deluxe with WinXP and 2 X
256 memory chips boots up.

How would computer act or operate if there was a parity error?

Thanks

The beeps correspond to the number of USB devices you have connected.
It's a 'feature' of that motherboard.

It is not the number of USB devices, but only ones that the motherboard
provides emulation support for. For instance, it will beep for a disk
device, a keyboard, a mouse, but not a camera.

You will get "parity" errors only if you use ECC RAM (your chipset is
capable of that). I don't know if modern OSs report such errors in the
system log or as an error message (they should...). Some - rare -
BIOSs have a log menu for this (but I never saw one myself).
1-bit-errors are corrected by ECC, multiple-bit-errors should be
reported in some way, as I already said above.
