Is it save to use/install Pareto Logic's Driver Cure?
Is it save to allow it to upgrade drivers and programs that may not be up to
date?

Definitely DO UNINSTALL that con-job crap !

Do NOT allow it to do anything on your PC.

In addition to David's wise advice I would add: Only obtain software
from the original source.

For example: Looking for a video driver? Get it from the manufacturer of
your video device...and nowhere else! That's the only way to know that
you're getting the genuine, malware-free article.

That advice is not totally 100% correct. An example is that you may need
to update Intel drivers but often you advised to get them from the
provider of the motherboard. Normally the caution is not to take third
party drivers offered by Windows Update.

Generally, no.

Updating drivers just because there's a newer version frequently CAUSES
problems, when the "updated" drivers interact poorly with other drivers.

Keeping track of all the drivers published is a very time-consuming and
expensive process. If the app is free or cheap, it's a sign that you can
not trust it.

You should do it yourself, and only when there is a real need to - meaning,
a problem is occurring that you know is related to drivers - and when you
get the updates directly from the manufacturer.
