Parameters in Crosstabs

Using AXP. I have a base query that pulls all pertinent
data from a couple of tables and want to use it in a
crosstab. However, when I put a parameter in a field of
the select query and try to run the crosstab, I am told
the MS Jet Engine doesn't recognize the field [What TDate?]
as a valid field name or expression. Do I need to put a
WHERE in the parameter wording? I'm missing something
simple but it will greatly help my future work. Could
someone give me a little advice?

Thanks in advance for any help, I truly love these

When a crosstab query gets data from another query that has parameters, the
parameters must be established in the crosstab query.

While in design view for the crosstab query, select Query|Parameters...and
then enter the parameters expected by the other query.

You absolutely wonderful man!!! Works great, knew it would
be simple, I'll imprint that on whatever stray brain cell
I can get hold of, and such a fast reply!!! Whohoooooo!
Truly, thank you VERY much for the help. It's guys like
you that help guys like us learn stuff. I can't find it
anywhere else.

Sorry. Where I grew up it was "us guys, you guys" and it
didn't matter which one you were. (Really, really small
town in Maine.) I should switch to using 'folks'. It just
takes too long to be gender correct these days.

Please continue your chivilrous ways and do not despair
that your instinct has gone astray....and thanks again for
the parameter tip. Little for you, big for me...
