Hello,
New to Access,learning every day.
Have set up a Menu Form with command buttons.
Need to have 4 parameter values entered before going to
the data entry form. what year, what month, what day,
what is employee id?
I can set up these queries, but having trouble linking
the queries to the menu screen.
I hope this does not require VB. Any help is much
appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Susan

You have not really explained the goal of the data collection from the main
menu.

Explain the flow a little better, include why these 4 values are needed.

I'm sorry I did not include enough info. Thank you for
your reply.
I have a table of employees. I have created a menu screen
for others to use. Several command buttons will be set up
for the end users to enter personal time used on specific
dates. EX: command button 1 is "daily attendance by
employee" When the end user click this button. I need 4
parameters asked 1. year 2. month 3. date. 4. employees
id number. After these are answered the form with this
particular employee will appear. so we can enter data for
the day missed or absent.
I have 3 Access books and still don't get a clear picture
on this function. I appreciate your advice very much.
Susan

Have the button open a form. On the form, have 4 controls to capture the
data. From there, have another button that opens another form to capture
the other info.
