Parameter Query Reports - HELP

I have a report based on a parameter query that prompts for last name. Every
time the input is typed in the parameter box keeps poping up more than once -
there is only one instance of that last name. The query is based off of 2
tables that share a 1 to many relationship - can anyone help?

This usually happens when there is a typo. Edit the promt to something like
[Enter the last name] and then see if both prompts are the same.

I played with changeing the prompt text but no dice, any other
suggestions...thanks.

Were the prompts the same after the change or was one different?

There was no change at all, however it didn't ask for the same information as
many times as it did previously

Backup your database.

Click on menu TOOLS - Analyze - Documenter. Select the tables, queries, and
report involve. Under this window click on options and select EVERYTHING.
Click OK. Click OK. Click on icon that is a blue 'W' to take the report
generated to Word as a Rich Text Format.

Search for the prompts you get to see where they are located.

Remove what you think is the ofender and try running the report. If it
fails you can always restore and try some more.
