Is anyone out there running FrontPage via Parallels on a Mac? I'm having a
major compatibility issue that the Parallels support team can not answer.
Below is the main problem. I'm desperate. Please email me at
(e-mail address removed) or respond below where I can reach you. I'll be happy
to pay for help.

-----

Currently using the new "Parallels for Mac" program so I can still use
FrontPage on my Mac. When I open FrontPage and try to open a folder of a site
to work on it, I get an error message that says:

Server error: The URL "\\.PSF\Gregory's Mac OS Folder\WEB
SITES\mywebsite.com" is not contained within a Windows SharePoint Services
site.

I am able to access individual files via the shared folder (even through a
Frontpage folder), but not the folder to make changes to the sites as a
whole.

As a workaround, I can drag the folder to my Windows "My Web Sites" folder
and work on sites from there. This is an ok workaround, but this option does
not allow me to then access certain files I need in these Frontpage website
folders that I need when working on the Mac side.

FP is not designed to be used in a Mac environment.

You are still not running on a actual Windows based PC, for which FP was designed and supported.

Does the author of "Parallels" guarantee that every application designed for Windows XP will run
under a "Parallels" Windows XP virtual machine?

It's not a Mac environment, it's a complete Windows XP environment that runs

Thanks, Thomas. Haven't reviewed the Parallels guarentees/terms. The fact is
that everything is running perfectly, except I can't open the site folders
(via "Shared Folders") through FrontPage. Parallels is new, and I'm sure not
every kink has been worked out. I can't get an answer from them, so I was
hoping to get an answer here. It appears to be a "Shared Folder" problem with
FrontPage and Parallels. I did create a video screenshot of the problem in
action: http://www.foxradionetwork.com/frontpage_parallels.htm

For anyone else that may one day have the same issue...I solved the problem
by creating a new Shared Network Drive between the Mac and Windows (and
bypassing Parellels Shared Folder in the process). All is well now!
