Parallel folders - delete one of them?

I have a graphics folder where I have many sub folders dividing my graphics
into categories. It's all very nice and organized. However, I also have a
folder that has the same subfolders dividing the same graphics. If I delete
one set of graphic folders the other one also gets deleted and the same
happens if I delete just one graphic. I can't figure out if I'm actually
using double space - there's nothing that tells me one is a shortcut
(although shortcuts don't delete originals). Oh... and one of the folders
has folder upon folder upon folder before you get to the actual grahpics.
How do I get rid of this?

It's just a duplicate folder list; it's not duplication all of the images.
That's just the way Vista handles things. One set of lists is in the (your
name) directory immediately under "desktop" if you look in Windows Explorer.
The other set shows up under the C: drive, "owner". If you delete either,
you can end up losing the contents entirely. Leave both lists alone!
