Paragraph indenting changes after close/open

I have created a template that I am using with a document.
I make changes to the doc so that I have indentation
set up on H3 - .4cm, H4 - .8cm, H5 - 1.2cm. I then save
the file and it asks if I want to update the Template with the
changes. I answer yes... Then I reopen the document and
hey presto - the paragraph indentations are not there...
Using Win XP and Office XP - latest fixes all round.
Any thoughts,
Many thanks,
Roy

Are the paragraphs numbered? If so, the indents need to be set in the
Numbering dialog, not Paragraph.

Hi RzB,

May we assume that H3, etc. are "Heading" styles? And is there
any numbering connected with them? And in Tools/TEmplates and
Addins is the option activated to update styles from the
template?
