Paperport 11

Has anyone had problems trying to get Paperport 11 to work?

I had no problem installing it, but when I click on the desktop icon or the
program list, it comes up with 'This program has stopped working'
immediately, before the program can even open.

I've stopped all programs running in background, but still not got it working.

Working fine for me on Home Premium Ed, with a normal default install with
UAC turned ON.

But nobody says whether they are using the 32 or 64-bit versions which is
much more important
 
I have 32 bit and it works fine for me. Note you didn't specify that 32
bit or 64 bit was of concern in your original post.
 
It's 32 bit and Vista Home Premium

Wasn't my post. Just that most differences are between 32 and 64 and not
the various versions of either.
 
Does sound like it is something unique to your installation. Have you tried
uninstalling and reinstalling, using administrator and/or compatibility
mode?
 
I've tried everything. Shut down all startup items, disabled fuirewall and
Virus checker, stopped other stuff that might affect it, but nothing works.
Nuance have even mailed me the exe file to replace, but that didn't work
either.

All I get is this.

Try a very long shot. If you are running Vista Aero, go to Windows Classic.
 
Thanks. I have avoided because PP10 wouldn't install on XP X64 and I wasn't
sure that they had fixed the signed driver situation for Vista64.
 
Hi

Unfortunately, no. But this is the only one that brings up the error
message as soon as you click on the program icon. I was having problems with
Nero 7, but after updating the virus checker files for Nero it works
perfectly now.

I would seriously consider running the memory tester of Vista and even
better memtest86.

Ours is running just find. We have version 11.0 (11.0.6255.1). I can't
remember if we had to install it using compatibility mode or not.
Sorry, but it will run on Vista Ultimate x32 SP1.

It's works just fine on all of our Vista Ultimate x32 SP1 installs. You
may try installing it using compatibility mode.
