Paper size always defaults to legal

All of a sudden, when I print from IE and I look at page
setup, the default is always legal. This fouls up the
printing because the printer is expecting legal size
paper. I can change it on the current browser page, but
then when I go to a new page the default reverts to legal.

How do you change it?
Do you make sure that your click Apply before closing out.
