Hi Tom,

I've been following your posts with interest, and had added the info from
them to my website page.

The complexities of digital video, combined with almost infinite
possibilities of hardware and software configurations seem to point to the
need for personal testing of each computer. Hopefully your Inspiron 8000 is
all you need for your work. I'm surrounded by Dell laptop and desktop
computers, having been loyal to the brand for many years.... until last May
when I broke with my personal tradition and bought a new Toshiba laptop.

And I'm not even close to having a good checklist of MM2 audio issues and
recommendations, so the more info that gets posted... the better. I
appreciate your comments.

I'm not PapaJohn, but I am curious. Are you perhaps using different brands
of soundcards or different models of the same OEM card between the two
computers?
