In reference to your recent comment to another reader which said "after
unzipping you need to install the Panasonic DV codec by right clicking
on the inf file and telling it to install... then it'll show in the video
compression picklist."

I can't find any inf file with the virtual dub stuff. I got through all the
steps except the compression as there is no Panasonic codec listed on the
list. Of course the conversion from vob to avi couldn't take place as the
file was too large.

Thank you for your help

One more thing...I did attempt to follow the instructions for installing the
Panasonic codec however I do not have winzip. Is there another way to get it
to install without it? Also should know I'm using Vista. Thank you!

Right click on the zip file in Vista and choose 'Extract all'... it handles
zip files without needing WinZip.

Thank you to the both of you, I figured it out. For some reason when I would
right click on the info file it wouldn't give me an option to install. Then I
tried it a few more times and it worked...go figure!
