Patricia

I have created a panoramic photograph, Isn't there a feature that would
allow me to pan over the photo , to make it look like a moving picture?

Thank you
PB

Hi Patricia,

Only if you use another program to display the picture within PowerPoint.

If you have PowerPoint 2002 (XP) or 2003 then you can use motion path
animation to move the picture. If you have a previous version, then it is
much harder.

Which version would you like some direction with? (Which version of
PowerPoint do you have?)

Bill:

I have 2003, But I tried the motion tool, But I think my photo is too long.
I have tried the motion tool, but the motion isn't slow like selected,
and the motion stops in the middle of the photo.

I guess there is a limit.

I've run them out about 2 or 3 slide widths. How wide is your slide and how
wide is your picture?

You are able to slow the motion path animation down to any length you want.
Select the picture, right click and select Custom animation. In the custom
animations task pane, select the motion path, right click and select Timing.
In the timing box, replace the number with 1:30. The motion path will now
take a minute and a half to complete.

To get the motion distance correct, I usually cheat a little. With the
Custom animations task pane still open, delete any existing motion paths for
the picture. Then select the picture and click Add Effect on the animation
task pane. Select Motion Path | Draw Custom Path | Line. Then Click on any
edge of the picture and drag the mouse to where you want that edge to end up
after the object moves. The motion path lines will re-center into the
middle of the shape.

Thank you Bill..
I am going to try to do what you have suggested,
I put about 8 photos together, I am not sure what size they are since I
was more interested in getting them to merge accurately.

I'll get back to you when I re work using your directions.

Thank you for your time...
