Pandora Tomorrow - Video Card Question

I have a Dell XPS Gen II with 1 GB RAM and an ATI 9800XT card
When I play Pandora Tomorrow I see jagged edges on certain images (for
example when shimmying on a pole the edge of the pole is not smooth). I
have played with all the ati direct3d settings turned up and at the default
level. There is no difference in the image. The game is smooth but I
thought it would look better.
What am I doing wrong?

TIA

The Splinter Cell game engine doesn't support
http://www.widearea.co.uk/designer/anti.html so you can't get rid of the
jaggies. It's not your system.

ok thanks
I feel better now
what is a good game to get to test out my 9800 xp ? It is new

Hmm and check the difference when you put on the night vision glass and off now you will complain...

yes the picture is MUCH better looking without the goggles
My real problem is that the main character looks awful when he is "close-up"
looks very blocky like

That will run it just fine i got a p4 2.8 with HT and a 9700pro and
far cry runs just fine, and that's with all the setting set all the way
up in the game and my video card setting are set all the way up,6x AA
and 16 AF with no lag at all :)

Have you tried the FarCry demo?

Also, I just recently upgraded to an ATI 9800 Pro video card and some folks
suggested that I try the RadLinker program. I like the fact that I can use
an icon for each game and set the desired ATI properties for just that game.
This way I don't have to keep going into my ATI system tray icon and keep
changing my graphic settings as I jump from Game X to Z.

Yes, but it won't be really smooth, that game majorly stresses your
system.

BS. I have a 2.5GHz P4 with 1GB DDR PC3200 and a 9600XT and Farcry runs
great AND SMOOTH.

Thanks
What settings do you use for Far Cry?
