Its OK, I used a full version for a few months but ditched it because
it was very slow and a huge resource hog. Also it adds several
thousand items to the start up folder and caused looooong boot up
delays.

Oh yeah as I recall the Firewall got taken straight back out as it
caused a lot of network / application problems in my system.

But this was on my system, try it I would be interested to know if it
causes you any problems. Don't bother with Panda Help or even think
about a refund if you decide to buy it later, both are hopeless.

Hi Jonah,

Don't bother with Panda Help or even think about a refund if you
decide to buy it later, both are hopeless.

Though I agree that Panda is a bit of a hog (last time I tried it
about three years ago this was the case), and their support may have
gotten worse by now, but when I was trying it back then (full,
registered Panda Platinum), when I needed assistance, they were
great; both via email and even over the phone! One person even
talked me thought a long manual un-install, including cleaning out
every bit of Panda from the registry. They even offered me an extra
year extension on my registration for all my troubles, and sent me
the latest version of the program on CD.

Of course, very shortly after that, I decided to just stick with
NOD32, which has been entirely trouble free for me ever since, so I
didn't need to bother with Panda anymore. :-)

Hi Melissa

I got my Platinum Version about 6 Months ago and my experience with
the customer support was not nearly as good as yours. The only advice
I got was to un-install / re-install with a very patronising tone
which annoyed me somewhat.

I fixed it eventually but it got very tiresome with the start up
routine of other applications being messed up because Panda took a
month to load and I had to get off my arse and go next door to fix it
every time I re-booted which was very very annoying 8-)

I am using NOD 32 on my stuff and F-Prot on my work networks now so I
am a happy camper at last.

The real question is why did Symantec have to ruin a perfectly good
all in one security solution forcing me into all the aggro of
replacing Norton for something that works and I can live with.

I suspect NOD 32 is going to be the winner for my machines in the end
I have never seen anything so impressive. Lets hope they don't
"improve and add features" to it and ruin it.

Jonah
