Hi

Does anybody know if it is possible to transfer a video to my camcorder in
order for me to put it onto my computer?

Also can anybody recommend any sites where I can get a small case from for
my camcorder in the uk.

Thanks once more in advance

Hi there,

I have all of the episodes of a series on commercial tape. In the normal run
of things you cannot copy such tapes onto your camera (if its a modern
camera any way) You have to have something to bypass the copy
protection...as you know, in the UK you are allowed to make one copy for
safe keeping. Eventually I found a Digital Image Stabilizer £25 from Maplin
would do the trick...and its so easy.

So what I am still in the process of doing is copying each episode to DV
tape, then capture it with Movie Maker 2 and then use DVD Complete to
transfer it to DVD. As the tapes are in very good condition I am happy to do
that rather than spend a fortune on the DVD's that are starting to hit the
market.

On the subject of case's...have a look either at the Maplin web site or John
Lewis. John Lewis were selling some Aluminum cases filled with padding and a
very sharp knife...you cut out your own shape. The Maplin web site, well
when in the shop in Birmingham, I saw loads of them....

Hi again,

On the subject of cases....it depends where you are in the UK, Jessops sell
a good selection too. When in the USA last I bought a Samsonite case for my
Canon cameras...seemed like a good idea at the time...Bought in February
this year...the straps on one side just ripped through...wife fixed
it....last month the other end of the strap went the same way....and now
the flap at the front no longer fastens down properly...it would not have
been so bad...but Jessops sell the exact same bag with another brand name
on it and its almost half the price !!! now there's a lesson or two !!

Hi there,

Is that an offer :) Nooooooooooooooooooooooo

I am just perusing the film channels, before sliding in with a cup of good
old English Tea (from India) with a small tot of Whiskey (from Scotland)
