That is up to the vendor of the hardware/software, not Microsoft. Contact
Palm or check their website for support.

I tried installing Palm Desktop for my Treo 600 and it did not install
successfully; I am not currently able to use it on Vista Ulitmate RTM.

I have a Palm T2 and the Palm desktop is working great with Vista RTM. The
only thing that does not work natively in Vista is the Hotsync Manager so you
cannot sync the Palm to your PC.

What you have to do is go to the PalmOne folder and right click on
Hotsync.exe and under properties/compatibility run it under XP SP2
compatibility mode and then it works fine. After doing this, I've had Palm
Desktop running great in RC1, 2 and now in RTM.

Having said that, I would be shocked if Palm does not soon release new
desktop software that is fully Vista compatible.

I'm running Palm Desktop 4.1.4E with my T5 and Vista x64 RTM. There
are no 64-bit drivers for the device so I have to sync via Slowtooth,
but it works fine.

That's good to know. I forgot to mention that I've only tried what I talked
about on x86.
