Last week NVIDIA launched their GeForce GTX 680, an enthusiast graphics card based on their latest generation technology, the Kepler core. We took a look at the GTX 680 in
stock,
overclocked and
SLI scenarios during the launch period however at that time all of the cards were based on the reference NVIDIA design, regardless of the branding on their box.
Of course it was only a matter of time until manufacturers brought to market their custom design GTX 680s and first to do so is Palit. The GTX 680 JetStream is a factory overclocked 3 slot, triple fan cooled card which aims to show the competition how a GTX 680 should be done. We will be putting it through a selection of real world gaming tests including Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim as well as overclocking it to the limit... after all it is also the first GTX 680 we have seen which increases the power available to the card through use of an 8/6 power connector layout rather than 6/6.
