Hi,
I have vista premium. I installed digitizer pro (DP) which is an
embroideryprogramme. with my virusprotection off, to prevent conflicts in DP.
DP is Vista compatible.
Before, when I used XP, DP allowed me to touch up images in paint and then
return to DP. The altered picture would automatically show up in DP by
"closing and returning" in Paint.
On my vista notebook this no longer happens. Any idea how I can change
settings or what to do to be able to use paint in DP again. This is vital
property of DP.
As a matter of fact this problem also occurred with another programme that
allowed me to use paint within that programme under XP.
Thanks,
Helen

Just open which ever application you use (DP or your "other" program)

then select "open" and browse over to where the image is located on your HD
Thanks Philo.
I already figured that out, but why reduce the functionality of DP under
Vista by having to take all these extra steps? It should work easier.
Previously, I hit the touch up button, did the adjustments in paint and then
returned to the original screen in DP.
Now I have to hit touch up, do changes and save, then return to DP, close
my original design, enter a new one, and insert the touched up image from a
different location. Or alternatively I could work on the picture in paint
not knowing exactly waht to alter and then open DP and insert. The problem is
that it sometimes takes only a very minor touch up of an image for DP to work
properly, but under vista that means taking all these extra steps. If it were
any easier to touch up the image in Photopaint, I would use that. Photopaint
does cooperate well with DP. But usually it is just a matter of a few
pencilstrokes which is far easier to do in paint.
So I am still searching for an answer and will be asking the DP manufacturer
first thing monday morning too.
